Great Britain

England is the centre piece and command central of Great Britain and the Commonwealth empire; and mother to the current most popular language in the world: English
  • Nowhere in Britain is more than 74½ miles from the sea
  • Scotland produces more than 250 million litres of whiskey every year
  • The oldest golf course in the World is "The Old Course" at St Andrews Links in Fife, Scotland, and dates back to at least 1552
  • The name ‘Big Ben’ is actually in reference to the 13 tonne bell, not the clock
  • English people consume more tea per capita than anyone else in the world
  • Visiting the Churchill War Rooms
  • Celebrating music at the Royal Albert Hall
