1. Auli, Uttarakhand
“Auli certainly provides the best skiing and snowboarding experience in India. Nestled between beautiful Nanda Devi, it gives an amazing 270-degree view. This place is kind of remote, but all efforts to reach the place is worth it. Prices are a bit on the higher side, but considering its remoteness, I have no complaints. One can see a lot of folks from defence here. Apart from skiing, one can go for beautiful treks. In February the temp reached -10 and it was a real good experience. A highly recommended place for travel enthusiasts.”
2. Solang Valley, Himachal Pradesh
” It was really a paisa-vasool day. We were on our way to Rohtang Pass, but some how we were not allowed for that place. so we moved to Solang as just an alternative to pass the day. But to my surprise, Solang Valley is really nice place one must visit. Other activities here like horse riding, paragliding and trolley ride are great options to explore.”

“The beauty of Dhanaulti lies in the hills that surround it, making it a peaceful and serene place. It is just a few kilometres from Mussoorie. If you are looking to spend a short time with your friends or with your better half, you should go for it. There are beautiful apple orchards and perfect eco-huts. There is an eco-park which is a must-visit. From an end of the eco-park, you can see the distant snow-capped mountains. One thing that you must do is shout your name and hear the beautiful echos from the nearby hills. Weather is very pleasant. The gorgeous landscape will take your breath away.”
8. Nainital, Uttarakhand
”If you like hill stations with an ambient temperature in summers (around 15 degree) then Nainital is a must visit place. It is a scenic beauty with lush green surrounding and lots of lakes and 'tales'. You should visit at least 3-4 lakes while you are there. There is also an Eco-Cave Garden you should visit. Plus, there are lot of other adventure activities to try out and many zoos you can visit. 4-5 days are enough for you to check out all these places. Nainital has lots of shopping places and restaurants. You should take a walk on Mall Road at night. The view and the temperature are awesome. Overall, a trip to Nainital is a very nice experience and you should try it out.”
9. Shimla, Himachal Pradesh
"We have been hearing Shimla as a place getting commercialised but believe me, it's all a matter of visiting right places and of course the company you have. I reached Shimla with my fiancée. During our first week of our visit Shimla, I was so glad that I took the toy train route (You will get freshen up by the beauty of valleys on route). It's beautiful, cosy and so romantic. When you visit The Ridge, Mall Road and Christ Church, you will not regret taking the decision to visit Shimla. Just a mere walk across The Ridge, a peaceful five-minute time with your beloved at Church and a casual visit to small shops at Mall Road will make you realise later that you had the time of your life. So many eating places and cafes to take care of you. I would strongly recommend Shimla, if you are going to visit with your better half.”
10. Gulmarg, Jammu & Kashmir
“It was an awesome experience. Everywhere you will see cotton like snow. With a touch of sunshine the valley became a mirror with a white sparkles all around. “Imagine above you an azure blue sky drenched in the morning sun emerald green pines, firs and birches around you, below you milk white fresh snow and the only sound - wind pipes through the pine forests. Close your eyes for a few seconds scene. A complete white out sky soft cottons of snow covering the trees, the buses all around look up as the soft snow covers your face and dots your hair the wind steps up its pipe music. Can you hear it now? This is mother nature painting on her ever changing canvas in winter in Narkanda.”
12. Manali. Himachal Pradesh
"Manali is an awesome honeymoon destination with lot of romance in the air and awesome climate. Its a fine place for couples and everyone. You , can go there in any season. Its an excellent and exotic place. You should stay at some good location around Hadimba temple, then you can see the scenery around the woods and mountain views with snows which look like a sandwich squeezed with creamy white cheese. We enjoyed a lot in sightseeing as well as in main Manali. Hotel was good in all respects and food in Manali was also good. So I will say my overall experience was very good. We enjoyed a lot.”
