BERMUDA

The top tourist attractions in Bermuda are typically overshadowed by the mysteries that surround it. We often hear it on science-based TV shows how ships and planes vanished in the Bermuda Triangle. Mysteries-aside, there are non-creepy ways in which Bermuda may interest you. There are plenty of sights to see in the overseas British territory.

The Unfinished Church in St. George is what it is called. Construction began in 1870 and it was meant St. Peter’s Church. Poor planning, lack of funds, and creative disagreements led to the demise of its completion. Soon after the project was abandoned, a storm left it in ruins. The Unfinished Church was recently fortified to accommodate visitors but remains incomplete. It has no roof and only the sky is its ceiling. Hints of its Gothic-style architecture are evident and the scenery surrounding it is astounding.
Horseshoe Bay is one of the top tourist attractions in Bermuda. It is the most famous and perhaps most photographed beach in the country. Its pink sand blushes in the heat of the sun but waters get too cold between September and May. Summertime is the only time you can swim on the beach but you can stroll along its sands all year long. During Good Friday, handmade kites are flown by locals in the beach and will make your trip more interesting.
St. George is a historic English town and one of the first of its kind in North America. Even though centuries have passed, it sticks close to its colonial roots. The Town Hall and Old Rectory are both reminiscent of British colonial times and can be found in St. George. Other notable buildings in town include the King Square and its stocks, dunking chair, and pillory replica; and the Old State House, the oldest stone structure in Bermuda. The best time to visit is in the summer, when period actors go around to portray the old days. St. George has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since the year 2000.
Tobacco Bay is one of the limited public beaches in the country which has restaurants and concessions side nearby. It is a short trip from St. George and one of the top tourist attractions in Bermuda. Tourists usually come here for liquors but there are also snorkeling equipment available for rent.

Warwick Long Bay is the best beach if you have kids with you since strong waves are deflected by an inner reef. It is also less crowded than Horseshoe Bay so it offers a more relaxing experience. Another advantage of Warwick Long Bay is its easy accessibility. Unfortunately, it doesn’t have restaurants or bars so you need to bring food before heading there.
