Chefchaouen – the Blue City in Morocco

Chefchaouen, Morocco. The province is prominent for its unique and beautiful feature: blue houses. The shades of blue color are supposed to ward off mosquitoes. Chefchaouen is one of the favorite tourist destinations in the country due to its authenticity. The local people are known for their friendliness and hospitality.
Founded in 1471, the city is situated in and surrounded by the Rif Mountains. Chefchaouen is also famous for the local handcrafts, that are being sold at theMARKETS there. Tourists also enjoy the local cuisine, which provides a traditional Moroccan dishes. However, the beauty of the city itself is the main reason to visit it.
