The Venetian Resort Hotel Casino, Las Vegas, USA. 36 stories resort is hard to miss in Las Vegas: the 145 m (475 ft) tall building attracts its guests with the Venetian atmosphere. Not only it has architectural elements from Venice, but also the canals with the gondolas!
Opened in 1999, the resort was the most expensive at the time, costing $1.5 billion. To infuse some real Italian spirit, legendary actress Sophia Loren attended the opening. Venetian Carnevale takes over the place during summer. Plenty of events and shows entertain the guests and if it is too much – a luxurious SPA center is waiting for the clients to relax.
Besides the Venetian aura, the resort also houses Guggenheim Hermitage Museum, a wedding chapel, Blue Man Theater and the nightclubs. The resort is inspired not only by the finest Italian city, but by the other cultures, as well. The Paris Opera House is found here, as well as TAO Nightclub, which is also very exciting: with giant Buddha statue, Kois in an infinity pool and other Asian inspired theme elements.
Plenty of restaurants and cafes, shops, three pools – the whole world is found in the Venetian. If you are eager to explore the city, try some of the many helicopter tours: see the city from above or even go to the Grand Canyon – probably the best way to approach the natural wonder. From many exciting places in Las Vegas, the Venetian might also be a good place to stay.
