ARKANSAS

In Arkansas, "The Natural State" and the 25th to join the Union, you'll find breathtaking views around every turn.
In central Arkansas, just across the river from Little Rock, sits North Little Rock, where visitors can ride the historic replica River Rail Streetcar and hop off at the River Market district for some shopping and dining.
The Buffalo National River starts in the Boston Mountains and flows through the Ozarks before running into the White River at Buffalo City. With bluffs, waterfalls and abundant wildlife, the upper portion of the river has long been popular for rafting and canoeing.
The 2,234-acre Mount Magazine State Park offers some of the state's most scenic outdoor adventures, with campsites, cabin rentals and miles of trails for hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding and geocaching.
Natural beauty and a moderate climate make Arkansas a much-underrated golfing destination. Tee off at one of the 12 courses along the Natural State Golf Trail, and you'll see why.
Located in southeast Arkansas, the Felsenthal National Wildlife Refuge covers 65,000 acres of creeks, rivers, swamps and bottomland hardwood forest - an ideal habitat for wintering waterfowl.
Depending on how much rain has fallen recently, you'll either see the Twin Falls or the Triple Falls in the Buffalo National River Wilderness Area near the town of Jasper. Either way, it's a beautiful sight.
Just off Highway 25 near Heber Springs, you'll find another of Arkansas' beautiful waterfalls, Bridal Veil Falls.
Hampton, located in the heart of the Timberlands of Arkansas, is surrounded by dense forests of cypress trees. The region attracts deer hunters and bass fishermen from around the country.
Popular with motorcyclists and autumn leaf-peepers, Mount Magazine Scenic Byway (Highway 309) ascends the slopes of Mount Magazine to Mount Magazine State Park at the peak, then winds back down toward the town of Paris, with views of Cove Lake along the way.
Popular with hikers and mountain bikers alike, Lake Ouachita Vista Trail includes 40 miles of trail along the southern shores of the lake.
