9. The Shard, London, England

A 87-storey skyscraper in the capital of England definitely stands out between the historic monuments such as Westminster Palace and St. Paul’s Cathedral. It has the highest observatory deck in London, from where an incredible panorama of the hip city opens.

8. One World Trade Center, New York, USA

The controversial building was finished earlier this year, with the innovative security systems installed. It serves as a memorial and a statement, being 1,776 ft (541 m) height – the year the United States’ Declaration of Independence was signed. The designers wanted it to be efficient and usable, as well as beautiful and commemorating.

7. Bitexco Financial Tower, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam

Built in 2010, the skyscraper represents lotus – Vietnam’s national flower, which has religious and cultural meaning. The observation deck, which juts out from the building for 22 meters, is the most exciting feature for those, who want to have a glimpse of the city’s view.

6. Kingdom Centre, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia

The city has a restriction: only 30 floors can be usable in a building. However, it doesn’t restrict the building’s height. The hole at the top of Kingdom Centre assures, that no more than 30 floors are used. The Four Seasons hotel, as well as the shopping mall, bank and mosque exclusively for women are housed in the building, while the mosque is found in the 77th floor.

5. Bank of China Tower, Hong Kong, China

Built in 1990 it was the tallest building outside USA at the time. It stirred a controversy: many criticized it for breaking feng shui flow with its sharp corners, thus being unfortunate for its neighbors. Today it offers an amazing observation deck and is part of the Symphony of Light show.

The tallest twin building in the world reaches 451.9 m (1,483 ft) height. While one of the buildings is occupied by an oil company, the second is much more fun. Impressive shopping center Suria KLCC, observation deck, park nearby provide not only with a city’s panorama, but fun activities.
