See Impressive Geysers in Haukadalur, Iceland
Geysers in Haukadalur, Iceland. It is definitely exciting to see a powerful hot stream gushing from the ground. Due to the volcanic activities underneath the surface, a lot of geysers, underground springs and thermal pools are scattered all around the country. Besides the spectacular hot fountains, places like Blue Lagoon are also very nice to visit.
Geysir is one of the most famous geysers, spitting out water up to 70 meters into air every 8-10 hours. Strokkur, which lies next to Geysir, shoots up to 40 meters height. The latter geyser sprays water every 8 minutes. Smaller geysers, pools and mires can be observed in Haukadalur, while hiking the trails in this unique area.
