ARUBA, THE SMALL ISLAND WITH AMAZING SIGHTS

Aruba sounds like a place straight out of the Caribbean. Well it is. It may be an autonomous region of Netherlands but it’s a Caribbean island 15 miles off the Venezuelan coast. Aruba receives visitors all year long including locals and foreign tourists. Most of the people who come there are after its white sand beaches and clear waters. With a tropical climate, cool winds, and the absence of hurricanes, Aruba lives up to our standards of what a paradise should be.

The island has two coasts: north east and south west. The south west coast has white sand and warm, turquoise waters. They are among the top reasons to visit Aruba. The north east coast which faces the Atlantic Ocean has a slightly different geography. There are only a few white sand beaches on this side of Aruba. The sea on the north east coast is also treacherous and cacti grow freely on nearby land. Aruba has more than beaches though. It has a myriad of must-see attractions including nature spots and structural landmarks.
The Ayo Rock and Casibari Rock formations are on our list of top tourist spots in Aruba. You can choose to just look at them but visitors are free to explore or even climb them. More precious formations can be found at the Arikok National Park. It has lava, quartz diorite, and limestone formations. The natural bridge found at Boca Andicuri is another must-see attraction in the island. It is but one of the seven natural bridges spread throughout Aruba. Animal sanctuaries are also part of the must-see places. The Aruba Ostrich Farm, Bubali Bird Sanctuary, Butterfly Farm, and Donkey Sanctuary are some of them.

If you want to see some history, visit the Antilla shipwreck. Snorkel tours are available in the area. The shipwreck is the remnant of a 400-foot German cargo ship anchored in Aruba during World War 2. According to stories, the German crew on-board intentionally sunk it rather than surrendering its cargo to Dutch Marines. The Guadirkiki Caves, Palm Island, and Conchi are all-natural spots you can explore. Conchi is a natural pool found in north Aruba. To reach it, you would have to ride a 4×4. It is hidden inside a natural rock formation located offshore the island.
Aruba is a mesmerizing island destination for sightseeing and adventures. Whether you plan to go on a honeymoon or take a quick break from your urban lifestyle, it is one of the best places you can go to for respite. It may be a small island but that doesn’t make it any less appealing for it is filled with never-seen-before sights.
