The famous lakes in Plitvice Lakes National Park are Prošćansko jezero, Ciginovac, Okrugljak, Batinovac, Veliko jezero, Malo jezero, Vir, Galovac, Milinovo jezero, Gradinsko jezero, Buk, Kozjak, Milanovac, Gavanovac, Kaluđerovac and Novakovića brod.
The flora and fauna is exceptional. Some of the endemic and rare plant species found in Plitvice Lakes National Park include Edraianthus tenuifolius, Ranunculus scutatus, Scilla litardierei, Cypripedium calceolus, Ligularia sibirica, Common butterwort (Pinguicula vulgaris), Telekia speciosa and Daphne laureola. Amongst the diversified animal species the rare ones are European brown bear, wolf, eagle, owl, lynx, wild cat and capercaillie.

There is a nominal entrance fee of 180 kuna or around $32USD, especially in peak season. Most of the people appreciate the natural enigmatic beauty and call it as heaven on earth. You can visit the place and decide on your own as said by most of the people that the place is much more than what it looks like in pictures and the camera does no justification for the beauty the eye can witness.
