10.Peer Chanasi
With an altitude of 2924 meters above the sea level Peer Chanasi is located 32 kilometer from Muzaffarabad in east. This place provides a marvelous mountainy view and a breathtaking look of capital city. Peer Chanasi is visited in all seasons because it provides relief from hot in summers and fabulous snowfall in winter.
9.Ramkot Fort (Mangla)
Ramkot Fort is a prehistoric fort located besides the Mangla Dam in Mirpur district. This fort has a distance of 13 kilometers from Dina and 80 Kilometers from Mirpur. Ancient places always attract the visitors but this fort provides a splendid view because it is situated on the top of a hill and completely surrounded by Jehlum River.
8.Mangla Dam Lake
This is world’s ninth largest dam located in Mirpur Azad Kashmir. Mangla Lake and its nearby places provide beautiful landscapes which invites the nature lovers to visit it again and again. There is also a fabulous garden named “Bhutto Garden”. This beautiful place with the gorgeous scenes is also best for picnic. You can also enjoy boating there.
7.Khari Sharif (Mirpur)
This village is located 8 kilometers away from Mirpur City. The cause of distinction for this place is shrine (Mazar) of Saints i.e. Mian Muhammad Baksh and Peer-e-Shah Ghazi. A large number of people visit this spiritual place daily.
6.Banjosa Lake (Rawalakot)
Banjosa has an altitude of 1981 meters and located 20 kilometers away from the Rawalakot. This place is a tourist resort with an artificial lake. This resort is surrounded by a thick forest which provides a very delightful and pleasant view. There are many tourist huts and guest houses for accommodation. In winter the snowfall make this place hundred times more beautiful.
5.Ganga Choti
This summit having an altitude of 3044 meters is a part of Bagh district. A visitor can leave his car in the village Sudhan Gali and follow the path on foot which will leads to this peak. You will forget all your fatigue when you will reach at the top of Ganga Choti. Stunning view of greenery and mountains covered with clouds will make you crazy. The climbers can easily hike this peak in summer.
4.Toli Peer
Toli Peer is situated in District Poonch at altitude of 2683 meters above the sea level. This area is a hilltop at a distance of 30 kilometers from Rawalakot. Toli peer is a great place with very pleasant weather especially in summer.
3.Leepa Valley
Leepa valley is one of the beautiful valleys located in the world. It is about forty six kilometers away from Muzaffarabad, the capital city of Azad Kashmir. This valley has many captivating places for the tourists. You have to pass a peak (Reshian Gali) having an altitude of 3200 meters to reach this valley. This valley can be accessed easily only in summer because heavy snowfall blocks the road in winter.
2.Muzaffarabad City
Muzaffarabad is the capital city of Azad Kashmir. This city has many worth seeing places and natural landscapes in it. The most beautiful view is the conflux (Sangam) of two rivers Neelum and Jhelum. The view of the city from PC Hotel and from Lohar Gali is breathtaking and lovable. There are two historical forts in Muzaffarabad. Although it is one of Kashmir’s traffic congested cities but still is beautiful to visit.
1.Neelum Valley
The Valley which is indeed world’s no. 1 beautiful valley is known as Neelum Valley. It also possesses no. 1 in this list of 10 most beautiful places in Azad Kashmir. In Neelum valley you will find gorgeous lakes, singing waterfalls, great mountains, dense forests with wild life, green meadows, beautiful streams and everything that is gifted by the nature anywhere else in the world. Ratti Gali is the most stunning lake in this valley. The length of this valley is 200 Kilometers. Tourists can easily get accommodation and other facilities. Sharda is most beautiful spot in the Neelum Valley. Sharda is located on the banks of the Neelum River which is an important river for Azad Kashmir and Pakistan. There are ruins of the famous temple and Hindu Pilgrimage site Sharda Peeth. This Peeth was dedicated to the goddess Sharda who represents learning. The Historical places of Sharda are Sharda Fort constructed in 24 to 27 AD and Kishan Ghatti. Sharda had been a Buddhist and Hindu place of learning for centuries. There are several rest houses for tourists in Neelum Valley. One, who visits it once, wishes to visit it again and again.
