The World’s Largest Trees in the Sequoia National Park, USA

The World’s Largest Trees in the Sequoia National Park, USA
Sequoia National Park, Sierra Nevada, USA. Once home for Monachee Native Americans, today the national park is famous for the giant sequoia trees and the General Sherman tree among them. The latter is the largest living tree in the world and a pride of the park. The park is neighboring Kings Canyon National Park.
Today the site attracts many visitors due to its unspoiled nature and these glorious sequoia trees. In winter it is covered in snow, which creates beautiful white landscapes. Besides the General Sherman, the Tunnel Tree is another famous attraction – a tunnel was cut in a tree, which fell in 1937.
Why to go there?
One of the most impressive woods in the world.
When to go there?
Anytime. However, check for accessibility, since some entrance roads are closed during winter.
How to get there?
Bus goes there from Visalia. Otherwise the only way to get there is by car: Route 180 east from Fresno or Route 198 northeast from Visalia.
