The world is also one of the biggest and deepest, holding an amazing one-fifth of the world’s freshwater. In winters, the lake freezes, and the water of Lake Baikal is famous for being some of the clearest in the world that one can see 130 feet below the ice. In March, frost and sun effect cracks in the ice crust, which ends up in the turquoise ice shards large shards of transparent ice, giving the amazing turquoise ice.
