Lago Di Braies Pragser Wildsee

Pragser Wildsee also known as Lago di Braies is a fantastic lake located within the Natural Park Fanes in South Tyrol,Italy. It has a length of 1.2 kms. and has 300-400 meters of width. Its maximum depth is 36 meters. It takes about 1.5 hours to walk around the lake. There’s a restaurant and souvenirs shop on the bank of shore. You can park right next to the lake. You can easily hike around this lovely lake.

Beautiful Lake

It is nestled in a corner of the Dolomites near to the Austrian border is a small emerald green beautiful lake, enclosed by mountains which is favored by climbers as part of the Alta Via paths. There is a fee of five Euros to park. The lake is very photogenic. Most of the walk is on the flat ground. You can rent a rowboat as there is a boathouse. Once you’re back, drive back towards the main road and stop at any of the trattorias in the small villages for a typical South Tyrolese meal.
