The other two fjords include Sund and Greely Fiord. The Sund and Greely Fiord are ice covered mostly, leaving the tourist with one option of Sognefjord or Sognefjorden (ice-free fjord). Fjords signify an exceptional landscape, found in only a few places in the world. It can be defined as an elongated narrow inlet of sea, surrounded by soaring and sheer mountain sides. The history of Sognefjord formation dates back to 20,000 years from now. The naturally formed Sognefjord stretched for 250 km into the inland finally leads into the small village named Skjolden.
