The ArtScience Museum is the first art and science museum of the world. Along with its own exhibits, the art museum exhibits many other exhibitions of different museums. The total area covered by the museum is 50,000 square feet (6,000 square meters and the total number of exhibiting galleries are 21 in number.
The exhibiting galleries included in permanent exhibition of ArtScience Museum are Curiosity, Inspiration and Expression. Some of the touring exhibitions included Traveling the Silk Road: Ancient Pathway to the Modern World, Genghis Khan: The Exhibition, Titanic: The Artifact Exhibition, Harry Potter: The Exhibition, Fujians: The Blue Ocean Legacy, 50 Greatest Photographs of National Geographic, Dinosaurs: Dawn to Extinction and Annie Leibovitz A Photographer’s Life 1990 – 2005.
The opening hours of ArtScience Museum are from 10am to 10 pm. The price of entrance varies depending on the exhibition and usually is around $20 – $30. Another interesting part of the building includes channeling rainwater that flows through the bowl-shaped roof and later falls in the reflecting pond. The rainwater is recycled and then used in the restrooms of the building.
