The Meguro River is located in the vicinity of Tokyo, Japan. Kitazawa River and Karasuyama River are the two branches of the Meguro River. The river runs for about 7.82 km in length. The river falls into Tokyo Bay, near Tennōzu Isle Station. The Meguro River runs all along Setagaya, Meguro and Shinagawa wards.
The Meguro River is adorned with plantation of about 800 cherry trees. You can view trees for several hundred meters of the road. Meguro River and its surrounding are all gathered by tourists in the spring. The walkways along the canal are refreshing. There are cafes and restaurants to rest and enjoy some great cuisine.
The Meguro River and its surroundings are adorned with lights during the famous Nakameguro Sakura Festival. In evening the lit up cherry trees provide an astounding view. The landscape at the Ohashi Junction is also commendable. There are several stalls on both sides of the river. The cherry blossom ice cream is worth a taste.
Most of the people visit Meguro River in spring as the best time is to visit is in the months of March and April. The view of falling sakura petals from trees with the gentle breeze provides a picturesque view to its visitors. It is without any doubt a peaceful spot for strolling and enjoying the calm atmosphere.
