PHOTOS OF AUTUMN IN PATAGONIA

Did you know that Patagonia is often called, by the locals, Putagonia and by Puta they mean a bit*h. Thinking why? It’s because the weather in this part of the world truly is one. When I was there towards the end of the autumn, and also the end of the tourist season, I sometimes experienced summer, autumn and winter all within one day. First it snowed like hell, then the sun came out (t shirt and shorts weather) and then in the evening it rained heavily. I had two choices. I could have either stayed in the hostel and complain about it or go and make the most of it. As you can imagine I chose the second one and ended up experiencing one of the best times on my travels; trekking on the Perito Moreno Glacier.

There is a reason why I adored Patagonia in autumn. It has a beautiful array of fall colours and lights that Mother Nature created so impeccably well. So if you are at home right now, wrapped up in a blanket with a warm cup of tea in your hands, I hope I’ve convinced you that every now and then it’s nice to leave the house even on a rainy day!
