The trail is not a very tough one, yet slippery trails and sloppy slogs make this trail quite challenging for a normal adventure tourist. This 9 miles long trail has no sophisticated facilities available for a normal starter. Hence you need to be prepared mentally and physically before you start your hike. However, I would say these challenges are worth taking for the jaw dropping looks as nature is at its best here.

How to reach the trail?
The most important airport at the Kauai Island is the Lihue Airport, from the airport you can board a taxi and to you hotel. The next day you can hire a private cab to the Awapuhi hiking trail.
