THE MULIA RESORT BALI

n Facebook
Chances are you’ve seen this resort before. The Mulia Resort often graces the likes of fashion bloggers, travel bloggers and celebrities’ instagrams. It’s an all-time fave of the social media in-crowd, and the resort is just 2 years old. Needless to say, that’s pretty impressive.
So, what was it like to stay at the highly recognised Mulia Resort? Here’s a review of my time inside Nusa Dua’s most talked about holiday haunt.

OVERVIEW

The Mulia Resort is a destination in itself. The resort is home to an abundance of hotel rooms, whilst there is also the more upscale and exclusive ‘The Mulia’ just next door, as well as The Mulia Villas located on the cliff behind the resort.
There are a number of fantastic restaurants on site, more swimming pools than one can count, and great fitness facilities. This is just the beginning. Its impossible to include all the amenities and lurks and perks on offer at The Mulia, so if you’re looking to explore the property more in-depth here’s a link to their website.

IN AND AROUND THE MULIA RESORT

During my three-night stay I had ample time to explore the resort – which feels much less like a hotel than it does a complete ocean-side oasis. If you like the appeal of staying at a resort, the Mulia Resort will be right up your alley. But if you prefer your privacy and to avoid the crowds, I would strongly consider opting for The Mulia or the hillside Villas.
The spa provides a great opportunity for guests to unwind and experience Balinese treatments, as well as those from around the globe. I’m convinced the “Around the World” treatment is the best spa treatment on offer – a 90 minute massage where two therapists work in synch – bliss!
While there are a great range of international restaurants on offer, don’t be turned off by the idea of a not-so-standard buffet. The Café is a great option for breakfast, lunch or dinner… and the dessert buffet is particularly enjoyable! If you’re up for a fancy evening out, Soleil is the crème de la crème of The Mulia’s dining options. Expect a spectacular display of culinary talents, matched with a humble and welcoming service from the staff which will even include menu consultation from the chef himself! Oh… and the food is absolutely indescribably delicious!

NUSA DUA

The Mulia Resort is located in the quiet and exclusive area of Nusa Dua. The resort is well away from the hustle and bustle of busy Kuta, whilst only a short car ride away should you wish to explore that part of town. Be sure to hire a car for a short half-day visit to nearby Uluwatu Temple, or perhaps even stop by the Single Fin bar for sunset drinks.
