This exceptional temple is built on 3 acre or pure rock and is just 20 metres from the coast and is at walking distance from the coastal land. It is extremely famous amongst tourists who visit Bali. The corals in the temple’s nooks have holy black and white snakes which are said to be the guardians of the temple against bad influences. The temple was founded in the 16th century by priest Nirartha who was amongst the last priests to come to Bali.
