AMAZING PLACES IN ASIA, PETRA, JORDAN

Petra, Jordan  is a precious monument of the ancient days; it is the major tourist attraction of Jordan that is situated in the south of Amman and the north of Aqaba, at the edge of the desert of Wadi Arab.  Petra is now included in the new Seven Wonders of the World. People who visited Petra have said, “Perhaps there is nothing in the world that resembles it” which is really very true. It is a rose red city surrounded by huge hills of rust color sandstones. The Petra basin alone includes over 800 individual monuments including building, temples, tombs, funerary hills and much more than this for  you to see. Petra is a UNESCO world heritage sight. This sight is a must visit place to all the history and archaeology lovers.

Things to do at Petra
Petra is magical and magnificent. It is very famous for its ancient architecture and rock carved structures.Besides just visiting these structures you can enjoy:
1.    A camel ride. Camels are the vehicles of deserts and you can take the completely pleasure of riding on a camel here.
2.    A horse carriage ride. You must not miss out on this typical horse carriage ride.
3.    Horse riding, you can travel through this place on a horse back.
4.    Enjoy swimming in the garden pool, in the market.

How to get to Petra:
You can get to Petra by road. A bus, a mini bus, a taxi and even a private can take you to Petra. It is a 3 hours drive from Amman and a 5 hours drive from the Kings Highway.
