About 70 km east off the Caribbean coast of Nicaragua, Little Corn Island is the smaller of the two Corn Islands. From 1655 to 1860, the Island was colonized by the British. As a result the culture of the native islanders are more similar to English speaking Caribbean islands than the Nicaragua’s mainland. The island is only 2.9 square kilometer. Only way to move around the island is walking as no motor vehicles available. The coral reefs around the island makes it a perfect scuba diving spot. This facility makes it more attractive to the tourist.

Rottnest Island is a popular holiday destination in Australia. It is located off the coast of Western Australia close to the city of Perth. According to recent studies, Human occupation on the island is trace back about 50000 to 70000 years ago. This makes it an interesting anthropological research subject. The Island is unpopulated when the Dutch explored itin the 17th century.
The place provides a lot of entertainment activities include swimming, snorkeling, fishing, surfing, diving and cycling round the 11km long island. Although there are a few tourist busses, cars are not permitted. About 45000 to 50000 visitors come to this island annually.

Kadavu is the largest island in Kadavu group. It is a least developed area in Fiji with about 10,000 inhabitants. This 60 kilometer long island has some of the amazing natural resources of Kadavu including bays fringed by coral, the mountainous jungles and waterfalls, reefs and a mangrove forest that provide habitat to a host of wild life and birds.The lack of transport advantage and untouched natural state of the island makes it ideal for a remote vacation spot. Located between the Saronic Gulf and Argolifc gulf, Hydra is one of the Saronic Islands of Greece. The island is segregated from the Peloponnese by narrow strip of water. It is one of the most popular day-trip destinations from Athens, the capital of Greece. The port of Hydra has a fantastic scenic location in a deep harbor.
On Hydra Island no motorized vehicles are allowed. Evidence of farmers and herders from the 2nd half of the third millennium BCE are found here. The center of town is so small that you can get around only on foot while donkeys, bicycles, and water taxis provide normal transportation.

Part of the Lamu Archipelago, Lamu Island is the principle inhabited part of the Island and one of the most popular tourist attractions in Kenya. The main town on the island,   Lamu Old Town is one of the best-preserved and oldest Swahili settlements in East Africa.
The town features inner courtyards, verandas, and elaborately carved wooden doorsall, built in coral stone and mangrove timber. Interestingly there are no roads on the island, just footpaths and alleyways. There are three villages on Lamu Island beside the Lamu town. Boats and donkeys are used to transport goods and materials on this island.

5. Caye Caulker

Located about 20 miles north north-northeast of Belize city, Caye Caulker is a small coral island in the Caribbean Sea. It is accessible by high-speed water taxi or small plane. For its relatively cheap prices, laid-back vibe, and abundance of restaurants and bars, the island has become one of thetop tourist attractions in Belize in recent years  for backpackers and other tourists. There are no motor vehicles in the island. The main mean of transport on the island is walking.  You can also rent bicycles and golf carts.Well defined path and crossing the island takes almost 20 minutes.

4. Perhentian Islands

The Perhentian Islands are one of the most popular tourist attractions in Malaysia, located not far from the Thai border. Perhentian Besar (“Big Perhentian”) and Perhentian Kecil (“Small Perhentian”) are the two main islands. The islands have palm-fringed white sandy beaches and turquoise blue sea makes them perfect for Scuba-diving, snorkeling, and swimming. On the coral reef sea turtle, clown fish, cuttlefish, black tipped sharks swim freely. Tourism is the main economic source of the island. The only means of transport are water taxis apart from walking.

La Digue is named after a ship of French explorer Marc-Joseph Marion du Fresne.  Bicycle is apopular way to get around the island. The islands main income is tourism. There is no airport on this island.

Diving is popular here for its wonderful marine life and nice coral reefs.  Bikes are available for rent and it’s a amazing vehicle to see around the island. However, the islands are just a few miles in diameter and you can explore it on foot. The islands are a popular destination of Lombok.

Ko Phi Phi is a small archipelago, a group of six islands, located in the Krabi Province in Southern Thailand. Among the islands, Ko Phi Phi Don is the largest island and is the only island with permanent inhabitants. Another Island Ko Phi Phi Leh is very popular as a beach or diving. No cars or motorbikes are on the island so transport on the island is mostly by walking. The islands are nearly devastated in tsunami in 2004. It was almost restored in 2010.
