Shifen Waterfall – Taiwan

Waterfalls have always been a mark of freshness, beauty and nature’s manifestation. Shifen Waterfall is a prominent example of an enchanting waterfall of Taiwan. The Shifen Waterfallis located in the New Taipai City of Pingxi District,Taiwan. The water fall is located on the Keelung River.

The Shifen Waterfall has a total height of 20 meters (66 feet). The Shifen Waterfall is the widest waterfall of Taiwan with a width of 40 meters. The slow if waterfall is in the direction opposite to the slope of rock. The clear water hits the base with the pressure with a thrashing sound that impresses the visitors.

The Shifen Waterfall is the most famous waterfall of Taiwan which is visited by people from all around the world. The Shifen Waterfall resembles a horse shoe when it falls from a height. The Shifen Waterfall is also known as Little Niagara. The Shifen Waterfall is a popular stop under the control of government.
The Shifen Waterfall can also be reached from west through an easy hike of 15 minutes. There are plenty of signs on the way to help the hikers. Most of the signs are in Chinese. The longer track can be taken through Sandiaoling. The longer hike track can be covered in three to four hours.

The tourists who have been to Shifen Waterfalls consider this place to be a must visit spot of Taiwan. You can reach the Shifen Waterfall through a train from Taipeu Main Station. It takes one hour by train to reach the Shifen Waterfall. Most of the tourists consider this spot as to be a best place to spend leisure time and enjoy the natural view.
