Sorrento – a Beautiful Coastal Town in Australia

Sorrento, Victoria, Australia. Named after a beautiful Italian coastal town near Naples, Australian Sorrento is no less picturesque. Boasting crystal clear turquoise water, the town provides an exclusive beach resort. Another Sorrento is found in Perth and serves as an affluent neighborhood.
Sorrento is found on Sullivan Bay, which was the first European settlement in Victoria. Today one can find a lot of nice restaurants, art galleries and a hip lifestyle here. But most importantly the unspoiled nature, rich marine wildlife and this great beach have been preserved for everyone to enjoy.
Why to go there?
A very nice place to go on summer vacation in Victoria. Besides the historic houses were built in 1877 using expensive local limestone and now are protected by the National Trust of Australia.
When to go there?
The weather is mild all year round, winter being the coldest season. Remember, that winter takes place from June to August in this part of the world!
How to get there?
The beach is located only 1.5 hours away by car from Melbourne. Therefore it is a beloved destination by the day trippers.
