Manarola is a colorful village which is a part of on The Cinque Terre which means in English “The Five Lands” (it is actually 5 neighboring villages on the Italian Riviera -the shoreline of the Mediterranean sea). Manarola is located north west to the city of La Spezia, Italy.
Manarola is thought to be the oldest of the 5 villages dating back to the early 14th century. Manarola as its neighboring villages have become popular travel destinations, mainly in summer when the nearby beach offers a great refreshing swim.
There is a walking trail between Manarola and Riomaggiore (Named Via dell’Amore, or in English – “Love’s Trail” which as of July 2014 is closed due to safety issues – manly fear of landslides).

Just like Riomaggiore (which is only 800 meters south east to Manarola), Manarola is known for it’s fine wine.
