WANT TO TAKE A RIDE ON THE TOP 6 FERRIS WHEELS IN THE WORLD?

  • London Eye – London
A 135m tall and 120m diameter large wheel, located on the banks of the River Thames in London, The London eye is in reality the eye of London. There are 32 capsules which can carry 25 people each to give them a fantastic view of London and its attractions. You can reach it by means of rail, bus, car, coach or even boat and tube way from all the stations of London. The timings vary for all the months however most of the days the visitor timings start at 10 am. The London eye provides facilities for disabled guests and has cafes and shops for all guests.

  • The Star of Nanchang – Nanchang, China
This 162 m high Ferris wheel is located in Nanchang China. There are 60 capsules in the Ferris wheel which can accommodate 7-8 people each. The specialty is how it lights up at night and reads the letters “Nanchang Welcomes You” in Chinese on each capsule. All capsules are air conditioned and with television facility in each. Each ride takes about half an hour so all guests can enjoy the scenic views from their respective capsules.

  • Singapore flyer – Singapore
A giant Ferris wheel which was built between 2005 and 2008 is a major attraction in Singapore. It is known to be the tallest Ferris wheel in the whole world. There are 28 capsules on the wheel and they are all air conditioned. They can hold 784 passengers and rotate an entire 360 degrees in about 30 minutes time. It is located near the famous Marina Bay in the Marina Promenade giving great views of the Bay and surrounding areas.

  • The High Roller – Las Vegas, USA
A 167m tall and 160m diameter large Ferris wheel in Las Vegas is still under construction and estimated time of completion is second half of 2014. The wheel is known to have 28 capsules, each going to carry 40 guests individually. As it is located in one of the busiest cities of USA, getting to the location will be easy and by all means of transport.

  • New York Wheel – New York, USA
A 630 foot high Ferris wheel located in the world’s most favorite tourist destination, New York, is going to be as popular as the other attractions in New York. The construction of this Ferris wheel will begin in 2014 and end by approximately 2016. You can reach the Ferris wheel by the Staten Island Ferry or any other water transport. The ride is estimated to be 38 minutes in length and would cost approximately $15-$30. The wheel is estimated to be open all days a week with exceptions of bad weather days and emergency holidays. Timings would be 10 am to 10 pm on approximately all days.

  • The Dubai Eye
Estimated to be 210m in height the Dubai Eye is surely going to catch some eyes once it is built. The designers of the Dubai Eye are estimating a huge visitor crowd once it is built and they guarantee a scenic and splendid view atop the Ferris wheel. The construction was due to start in June 2013 and once built the Dubai eye would be the tallest Ferris wheel in the world.
