Thai VietJet Air (VietJetAir.com Thailand) (Bangkok) was planning to start its no-frills low-cost services on March 29 according to the Bangkok Post. The new associated airline of VietJetAir of Vietnam is commencing operations on the Bangkok (Suvarnabhumi) – Phuket route with an Airbus A32s. Service to Udon Thani and Krabi will follow.
According to the Bangkok Post, the original 51% owner, Thai businessman Somphong Sooksanguan, sold his interest to unnamed Thai investors.
