MEXICO CITY- A COSMOPOLITAN AND HISTORIC CITY

Mexico City is one of the most densely populated cities in the world. The PEGACSA-v6.2city is simultaneously a cosmopolitan and historic . The city has a very long history, starting from the Aztec Empire to the colonies from the New World. The soil is fertile, which contributes to the prosperity of the small jungle city.

COMMUTATION

Guests arriving by plane, landing in the International Airport Benito Juarez (Benito Juarez International Airport), which is located six miles east of downtown. The airport collaborates with many other airlines around the world. From here you can reach not only to Central, Latin and North America, but many parts of Asia and Europe. As soon as you landed on  the ground,the  transport will not coincide with your idea of the ordinary.   Around the airport – plenty of taxis are  there that can take you to your destination. The city has two major railway companies, competing each other, which means that traveling by train here – very expensive. If you want to leave the city, it is better to take  the bus.

Mexico is a very ancient city, full of  historical values and secrets. The main attractions of the city are
  • Cento Historico-an ancient site built over the ruins of this Aztec city.
  • Main Square -Plaza de la Constitucion, where political and religious leaders talk to people.
  • Palacio de Bellas Artes – the place where you can find the best works of Mexican artists.Works can be very from works of national icons like Frida Kahlo to the more complex and skilled work.
  • Alameda Central is a magnificent park.  Here you can leave behind all the commotion of the city and immerse yourselves in nature.

NIGHT LIFE

Do not think that in Mexico there is nothing but food tacos and enchiladas. On the contrary, in the capital, as in any other, there are dishes of diverse cuisines. Here you’ll find all universal dishes, including Japanese, Chinese, French and Italian. The city has many places where you can drink and have fun. Night clubs, pubs, discos are available in plenty. But if you want to feel in the shoes of a true Mexican, then head to “mess”! You’ll pay for a drink and the Spanish tradition of getting a snack for him for free. These coffee shops are open until midnight, and then in the form of options remain clubs or bars. Most of the clubs close at 3 or 4 o’clock in the morning, and some are working up to 7 am.

Credit cards in Mexico City are uniquely designed for terminals, as they are in every store. Everything you have seen in the capitals of other countries  is available here, in one form or other.  In addition to good scenery ,shopping,food and  entertainment , the city also has  historical sites and monuments such as the ruins of Xochimilco and Teotihuacan.

EXCURSIONS.

Despite the fact that Mexico is a huge metropolis with all its attractions, there are more worthy, swirling her beauty, places where you can safely go on trips. The easiest way to go to a nearby town or neighborhood – is to go by a car.Tlaxcala,a Hispanic city of Mexico, is  75 miles to the east of the Mexican capital. Many believe that this city has not been studied properly and  not suitable for tourists, but it has very rich colonial architecture and remnants of the Spanish conquest. Inquisitive tourists should not go past,overlooking  the ancient ruins of the Palacio de Gobierno, which was built in 1550. Monastery of San Francisco, another stable structure, was built back in 1536. Holy City of Cholula is located about 80 kilometers from the capital. Here you get to see lot of  churches and cathedrals, long abandoned by the Spaniards. Those who wish to go deeper in Cholula may stumble on the “Santa Maria Tonantzintla”  one of the most unusual churches in Mexico.

Art lovers and those who are interested in artifacts of Central America, believe that Mexico City is a city of arts and  history  – and they’re right! “Museo de Rufino Tamayo” – museum, contains a huge collection of  both contemporary  and ancient works. Museum of Frida Kahlo “and” The Museum of Diego Rivera, are very popular among the visitors of Mexico City. Guests also can view the works of local artists at the Museum of Modern Art. Mexico City is a place that is ideal for a holiday with your family, because there are lots of children’s centers, scattered throughout the city. “Zoologico Park of Chapultepec” is considered the best zoo with great views that can be  enjoyed by  both adults and children. “El Museo del Nino” or “museum for children, with an interactive and informative program and its own cinema is another great children’s attraction. A trip to Mexico would not be complete if you do not try one of the tastiest tacos in town. “El Califa” – is a famous eatery, where you can sit and dine both indoors and outside. The menu has a huge selection of Mexican salads. “El Gnomo” is another place where to go on a mandatory basis, and serves excellent and cheap enchiladas and roast chicken.Bon Appetit.

BEST TIME TO VISIT.

In Mexico, almost all year round weather keep the “golden middle”. In winter,  November to February, is much cooler . This is an ideal time to visit Mexico City, where the temperature does not rise above 16 degrees Celsius. To avoid the rain – come to town in between October and May, as this season is of drought. From June to September – the rainy season, you can watch rain pouring down  several hours a day.
