MACHU PICCHU, PERU – THE ANCIENT CITY REBORN

Machu Picchu is amongst the most popular archeological sites of the world and also the most visited attraction in Peru, S.America. The Citadel of Machu Picchu is known for its amazing ruins and its unusual location. It is located at about 2300 meters above sea level. Machu Picchu is located on a high mountain and overlooks the mighty currents of the Urubamba River. Machu Picchu is declared as a UNESCO World Heritage site in 1983.
