BIGGEST SHOPPING MALLS: ISTANBUL CEVAHIR, ISTANBUL

Istanbul Cevahir Shopping and Entertainment Centre, opened on 15 October 2005, is a modern  shopping and entertainment centre located in the sisli district of Istanbul,Turkey.   Also named as  Şişli Kültür ve Ticaret Merkezi (Şişli Cultural and Trade Centre),  Istanbul Cevahir is the largest shopping centre in Europe, and the sixth largest in the world.

Cevahir Mall has a total gross area of 420,000 m² on 6 floors and cost $250 million. There are 280 shops, some of which offering brands came firstly to Turkey, 34 fast food restaurants and 14 exclusive restaurants in the mall. Under its roof, there is a big stage for shows and other events, 12 movie theaters including an IMAX 3D cinema. It has also a theatre for children and several other entertainment facilities, a bowling hall included. A roller coaster spans the interior of the mall. Its 2,500-m²-glass roof carries the biggest clock of the world with digits each 3 m big.

Some of the direct flying times are: New york – Istanbul 10:20 hours, London – Istanbul 3:45, Milan – Istanbul 2:45, Hong Kong – Istanbul 11:50, Moscow – Istanbul 3:05, and so on.From Istanbul you can fly to many other cities of Turkey as there are frequent daily flights of different airline companies. Istanbul – Izmir or Istanbul -Ankara flight takes about 1 hour, Istanbul -Adana about 1:30.
