10. Fiordland National Park, New Zealand

Fiordland is the largest national park in New Zealand, occupies 12,500 square kilometers in the southwest corner of the country’s south island. The beautiful park surrounded by rugged mountain ranges and a world renowned waterfalls. During the cooler past deep fiords, long and narrow inlets with steep cliffs, were curved by glaciers. The most famous of which is Milford Sound that it’s carved peaks are iconic.

9. Lake District National Park, England

Lake District National Park is a mountainous region in North West England and the birthplace of British mountaineering. The park, which was founded in 1951, has impressive granite boulders, beautiful plunging valleys and 16 gorgeous lakes. It’s also known for being inspirational for artists and writers, like William Wordsworth and J.M.W. Turner, and a paradise for water sports enthusiasts and bikers of all sorts.

8. Swiss National Park, Switzerland

In the South Island of New Zealand, Lake Wakatipu stretches for 80 kilometers and known as the longest of New Zealand’s lakes. This is a gorgeous glacial lake that renowned mostly for its surrounding jagged mountains, which are so stunning that they are called “The Remarkables”.

7. Parque Nacional Torres del Paine, Chile

Located in Patagonia, Chile, at the edge of the continent, Torres del Paine is an amazing national park. Its granite peaks, azure lakes, emerald forests and radiant glaciers create breathtaking landscapes to view from the park’s lookouts. That is probably why this park considered to be the most spectacular of South America’s national parks.

6. Banff National Park, Canada

The oldest Canadian park, Banff National Park, was founded in 1885 in the Canadian Rocky Mountains. It’s located in the western province of Alberta and encompasses 6,641 square kilometers of mountainous terrain. These impressive mountains, which are all over the place, create an amazing landscape while combined with natural wonders as fast-flowing rivers among the hills, enormous glaciers flowing down the peaks and strong-colored turquoise lakes.

5. Guilin and Lijiang River National Park, China

Located in Guangxi Zhuang Region in southeastern China, this beautiful park is renowned for its karsts – limestone cylinders, cones and hills. The landforms are not only the creators of breathtaking scenery, but also inspiring many Chinese poets and artists, especially with their interesting names like “Dragon Head”, “Five Fingers” and “Elephant Trunk”, and they even depicted on the country’s paper currency.

4. Serengeti National Park, Tanzania

The oldest, most popular national park in Tanzania and a World Heritage site, the Serengeti is best known for hosting the largest terrestrial mammal migration in the world. Every year, hundreds of thousands of wildebeest immigrate in the Serengeti, going in circular route from northern Tanzania to southern Kenya. This fascinating savanna offers a spectacular game-viewing of approximately 70 larger mammal (including elephants, buffalos, lions, giraffes, impalas and more) and 500 bird species, as well as amazing, colorful landscapes.

Arizona’s Grand Canyon is probably the most famous and photographed national park in the world. Every year, around five million people come to see the park’s glorious canyon, ten miles long and one-mile deep, carved for over million years by the Colorado River. The South Rim of the park offers the renowned panoramic views and the North Rim, 

2. Fuji-Hakone-Izu National Park, Japan

This colorful park is located in Southwest of Tokyo and covers 1,227 square kilometers. Within the park is situated Mt. Fuji, a dormant volcano which is more than 3.5 km high and has symmetry and majesty that have been immortalized by artists and poets for centuries. The mountain, often shrouded in clouds, tends to vary in different light and from different perspectives, which create captivating sights.

Spreading on over 3,000 square km and reaches across the western slopes of the Sierra Nevada mountain chain, California’s Yosemite is visited by over 3.7 million people each year. The park is a World Heritage site and internationally recognized for its mountain peaks like El Capitan and Half Dome, spectacular granite cliffs, clear streams, Yosemite Falls, giant sequoia groves, sub-alpine lakes and fascinating biological diversity.
