The elevation of the table mountain is 1,086 metres (3,563 ft) above sea level. The table Mountain has a levelled plateau of about 3 kilometers flanked with two impressive cliffs on both sides. Other prominent features include the Devil’s Peak (east), Lion’s Head (west) and Signal Hill. Maclear’s Beacon marks the highest point of the Table Mountain.

The lower Cable station is at an elevation of 302 meters while the upper one is at an elevation of 1,067 meters. The Aerial Cableway takes you to the top in less than 5 minutes.
