1. Otzarreta Forest, Basque Country, Spain
This well known forest is located in Gorbea Nature Park in Biscay, Basque, Spain. It somehow resembels those tales about children getting lost and kidnapped by witches, right?
2. Rila Mountains, Bulgaria
Located in southwestern Bulgaria, Rila is the highest mountain range in all of Bulgaria. The highest peak is Musala at over 9,000 feet tall. That view is incredible.
3. The Moss Swamp, Romania
I’m not sure where this is, or what it is for that matter; I am sure, however, that Shrek would love nothing more than to move in immediately.
4. Beskydy Mountains, Czech Republic
I’m guessing Snow White knows this place; it’s as beautiful as she is.
5. White Carpathians
There’s nothing white about this picture, but that doesn not diminish its artistic value. It seems like that path will take forever to on, and that’s alright with me.
6. Hallerbos, Belgium
A bit too purple for my taste, this forest path seems to be magical. I’m clueless regarding its inception and purpose, but it is beautiful nonetheless.
7. Chinese Hemlock Trail, Tapingshan, Taiwan
The Chinese Hemlock Trail is a short path that travels uphill through an old, dense forest. It isn’t easy to reach the top of the seemingly endless steps, but doing so reaps great rewards. A large overlook platform at the top offers breathtaking views that stretch as far as Dabajian Mountain.
8. Czech Republic
Would you dare walk alone through that place? It looks like monsters are about to eat you alive any second. Tip: you’d better have Van Helsing on speed dial.
9. Misty Forest
This is real, and that’s incredible. Looking like trying to keep everyone out, this forest is almost magical. I guess people are not welcome here.
10. North Greenwich, London, England
Looks like the type of place you might run into Alice, the rabbit, and maybe even a Cheshire cat. I, for one, I’m gonna keep away from this one.
11. Somewhere Lovely In Italy
I cna’t really understand how the groudn can look so magical and alive, thile the trees stay dead, almost zombie-like and ready to deveour you whole.
12. Stanton Moor, Peak District, UK
The location of this mysterious forest is full of beauty, charm, and even some historical remains. The most famous artifact in the area is the Nine Ladies Stone Circle, which is believed to be the remains of a much larger ceremonial site.
13. Mysterious Forest In Germany
I’m not sure what that dude is doing, or looking for, but I advise him to get the hell out. I am particularly worried about that strange tree on the left; he looks suspicious.
14. Haute-loire, France
This gorgeous region of France is named after the Loire River that runs through it. But there’s nothing gorgeous about the end of that path, and the entry to the forest. Any takers?
15. Crooked Forest In Poland
There have been various theories about why these trees look the way they do, but no one can actually come up with any proof. So, what’s your take on this one? No matter what, I’d be cautious.
