10. The Great Blue Hole, Belize
If you are a diver, then you should definitely visit this place. Located 70km from the mainland and Belize City, The Great Blue Hole is a huge submarine sinkhole that give diver a once in a lifetime experience. It occurs near the middle of a Lighthouse Reef and has a circumference of 300m; it is 124m deep. This diving haven is the only blue hole that can be seen from space. The great blue hole also occurs in a cave that was formed above sea level.
9. Tulip Fields In Netherlands
For newly married couples, you can spend your first holiday in Netherlands; imagine roaming within the beautiful tulip fields. These flowers have a great history; they were originally cultivated in Turkey before being imported in the 16th century. The present day fields are fool of colorful hyacinths, tulips and other myriad flowers. As you can see in the picture, the scenery is amazing. Tulip Festival is organized in an annual basis within the fields; from late April to early May. You can also pass by the Aalsmeer flower market near Amsterdam to acquire some souvenir.
8. Mendenhall Ice Caves in Alaska, United States
The Mendenhall Ice Caves occur in a12-mile glacier within the Mendenhall valley in Juneau; south east Alaska. You can only access the place if you are willing to kayak to and ice climb over the glacier. Due to global warming, part of the ice is gradually retreating. This is the best place to experience each stage of water cycle at the same time. The water flows stealthily within the caves under blue ceilings inside partly hollow glacier. These features contribute to its surreal nature.
7. Wilhelmstein Island, Germany
Wilhelmstein is a very tranquil island located on Lake Steinhude in the Northwest Germany. It is actually the largest lake. The island is reinforced with stones that were transported by the local fishermen with the aid of their boats. It was actually a military fortress between 1765 and 1767 courtesy of Count of Schaumberg, Lippe William. The island may be small but it attracts numerous tourists from different parts of the world.
6. Santorini, Greece
Santorini is one of the most visited islands in Greece. Located in between Anafi and Ios, Santorini Island occurs 128 miles off the port of Piraeus. The 76 square km island is also the most active volcano in Greece. The entire cluster of Santorini islands plus the Caldera all contributes to its natural beauty. It is named after a renowned settler Theras of Sparta who found the island in the 10th century B.C.
5. Deadvlei, Namibia
The locals call it dead but beautiful; the Deadvlei or dead marsh located within the Namib-Naukluft National Park. The area used to be a lake where Tsauchab River drained its waters. The ever moving dunes engulfed the river leaving the lake to dry. It is famous for its flat and surrealistic nature. The scintillating blue sky and charcoal black trees creates the unique environment.

The Antelope Canyon is an exclusive rock canyon that was formed through water erosion. It is situated in the northern part of Arizona in the United States. It is famous for its wavy and smooth walls of sandstone caused by rain. Most tourists throng the place to take photos; it also offers beautiful scenery for the eyes. It is also the most photographed canyon in the entire world. The Antelope Canyon is part of the Lake Powell Navajo Tribal Park.
3. Sea of Stars, Vaadhoo Island
The Sea of Stars in Vaadhoo Island in Maldives is marine bioluminescence created by a distinct phytoplankton known as dinoflagellates. The place transforms completely during sun set. The darker it gets the more attractive the place becomes. This is an exclusive phenomenon that you shouldn’t miss when you are still alive.

You can also visit Tianzi Mountains in Hunan Province, China. They are believed to have been formed 400 million years ago. There tall and thin nature makes them more attractive. The scenery is scintillating and attracts many tourists. James Cameron’s ‘Avatar’ film clearly highlights how amazing and surreal this region is.
1. Salar De Uyuni, Bolivia
Salar De Uyuni is the biggest salt flat on the planet; also the world’s largest mirror. It is situated in the southwest of Bolivia. It is said to house up 10 billion tones of salt at 3656m elevation. Salar De Uyuni is also a home to fauna with three flamingo species breeding during wet seasons. NASA uses the area to calibrate their satellites due to its stable nature. What a way to spend your holiday.
