Borra Caves, Andhra Pradesh

These caves are also called “Borra Guhalu.” The cave’s height is measured at around 2,300 feet. The caves are also covered with mineral deposits that form into stalactites and stalagmites. There are a number of lizards, gecko, and bats living in the caves, making it a destination for researchers.

Elephant Falls, Meghalaya

If you are visiting the northeastern part of India, you must take a trip to the Elephant Falls. The falls is located near Shilong. The waterfall is a cascading one. It flows through rocks that look like a flight of steps.
  

Dudhsagar Falls, Goa

Dudhsagar Falls is one of the most jaw-dropping falls in the world. The powerful falls is situated on the border of Karnataka and Goa. It is around 1017 feet high and as wide as 100 feet. Visitors will have to walk on foot over the railway track to reach Dudhsagar. The railway track that passes nearby the falls just adds to the beauty of the fall.

Marble Caves, Madhya Pradesh

The Narmada River in Jabalpur district of Madhva Pradesh has a 3 km stretch that is lined by marble rocks on both sides. It is one of the most famous tourist spots in the country. It also helped that the place is a favorite among filmmakers from all over the world.
The marble rocks have high deposits of magnesium, which can easily be extracted using simple tools. Various rock formations are also found in the place like the famous Haathi ka Paon (The Elephant’s Foot) and Horns of a Cow.  The surrounding places are also quite beautiful and said to be rich in blue marble.

Majuli Island

The biggest river island in India is the Majuli Island, located in Assam. The island is over 450 kilometers wide and is considered to be a bird-watcher’s paradise because it is home to more than 100 different bird species. The rich culture of Assam is also exhibited in the island. There are more than twenty monasteries known as satras on the island. The most known of these satras are the Uttara Kamalabari and Auni Ati. Visitors can talk and interact with monks in the satras. They can also take a glimpse of the traditional lifestyle of the monks.
The city of Jorhat offers ferry boat rides to transport visitors to the Majuli Island.
  

Sundarbans

Nature lovers and adventurers from around the world absolutely love Sundarbans. The stretch of jungle is a river delta region. It is spread over 2,500 kilometers across Eastern India and some parts of Bangladesh. Sundarbans is home to the endangered royal Bengal tiger and is full of mangrove trees that are seldom found in other parts of the country.
Because Sundarbans holds the largest mangrove sanctuary in the world and because of the Royal Bengal Tigers, it has been declared as a World Heritage site by UNESCO. The perfect time to visit Sundarbans is between November and March.

Valley of Flowers, Uttarakhand

Just by looking at the colorful pictures of this place will leave you enthralled. The Valley of Flowers in Uttarakhand looks like a place from your dreams, and it will casually take your breath away. Thick blanket of flowers covers the hilly terrain of the valley. The valley has been declared as a national park, and it is home to varieties of flora and fauna, some types of bears, and the endangered snow leopard and Red Fox. The valley is very colorful and inspiring, making it a favorite among nature lovers, bloggers, and travelers.
  

Loktak Lake, Manipur

India is full of many beautiful bodies of water, but one place stands out—Loktak Lake. From above, the lake looks like it has been decorated with green rings that are floating on the surface. The rings are nothing but evenly distributed patches of vegetation. It is also the home of the only floating national park in the world. A wide variety of flora and fauna, which include fifty-seven different types of birds, the endangered and very rare Eld’s deer, also call Loktak Lake as their home. The natural wonder is truly a must-visit place in India.

Magnetic Valley, Ladakh

This place in Ladakh is quite strange. The valley intrigues many people because a vehicle can climb up hilly terrain even with its ignition switched off. The car will climb at the speed of 20 km per hour. This strange phenomenon is what usually attracts many tourists to the area.
A recent study conducted in the valley states that optical illusions in the area make one think or see the downslopes in the valley as steep slopes going upwards. Local tourists guides begged to differ, and they insist that supernatural forces are the reason behind the phenomenon.
  

Pangong Lake, Ladakh

Pangong Lake is one of Ladakh’s most beautiful tourist destinations. Unlike many of India’s other bodies of water that have been damaged by pollution, Pangong Lake is one of the cleanest in the whole country. The lake is fed by melting glaciers that make its water crystal clear. The lake is also surrounded by beautiful mountains, making it a very serene and one of the most romantic destinations in India. The lake is located 4,300 meters above the sea level in between the Himalayan ranges.
The entire lake is not confined in India alone. The east end of the lake is already a part of China, and some of it extend into the Tibetan territory too.
