Gulf State Park is a 6,150-acre state park in Alabama which covers the land behind the Gulf Shores beach community, situated between Highway 59 and SH 161. To the west the beach heads southward to a wide clean white sands beach along the Gulf of Mexico and also features the longest fishing pier in the Gulf of Mexico as well as a pavilion.

This beach is popular during summer months and is easily accessible from Boston being just a half mile walk from MBTA train station.

Point Lookout State Park in St Mary’s County
Point Lookout is a Maryland state park situated at the southern tip of St. Mary’s County peninsula formed by the joining of Chesapeake Bay and the Potomac River. It received its name after its role as a lookout post watching for British ship which constantly raided Chesapeake Bay community residents during the War of 1812. Point Lookout State Park still has the original Point Lookout lighthouse which was built in 1830. It has a fishing pier, boat launch facilities, public beaches and overnight camping is allowed although there are many reports of ghosts so only stay if you are not of a nervous disposition.

The beach here is in pristine condition and the waters are very clean. There are plenty of activities to do here from a simple walk on the beach, kayaking, or climbing the Cape Hatteras Lighthouse.

Wallis Sands State Park is a small state park located on the Atlantic Ocean in the town of Rye, New Hampshire. The beach has beautiful shores for swimming, views of the Isles of Shoals and a clean sandy beach for families. The park area has a grassed area with picnic tables for the public to use and a large parking lot which charges $15 a day but includes facilities such as warm baths and showers.

Each year the city hosts the “East Coast Surfing Championships” and the “North American Sand Soccer Championship” beach soccer tournament. It has several state parks and several long-protected beach areas which are all in pristine condition.

Sandbridge Beach is the southern part of the city of Virginia Beach. The length beach is about 4.5 miles North to South located by the Back Bay of the Currituck Sound to the west and the Atlantic Ocean to the east, often referred to as “The Outer Banks of Virginia”. One of the biggest attractions to Sandbridge is its relative remoteness and laid back atmosphere when compared to the Virginia Beach oceanfront. Located at the south end of the beach is Little Island city park, which is also the location of Sandbridge Pier.

Westhaven has many shops, a marina and you can enjoy activities such as fishing, clamming, crabbing, beach combing and bird watching. However unfortunately swimming is not advised due to variable currents and strong rip tides.
