A visa waiver program is available for visitors from Andorra, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brunei, Chile, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Monaco, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Portugal, San Marino, Singapore, Slovakia, Slovenia, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan and the United Kingdom. The visa waiver is valid for a maximum of 90 days. In order to use the visa waiver program you will need to apply for The Electronic System for Travel Authorization (ESTA). ESTA costs US$14 person and can take up to 72 hours, in most cases an ESTA number is provided almost instantly. Passport holders from American territories, Bermuda and Canada may visit without a visa. If you do not have a United States passport expect to be fingerprinted and photographed on entry. Everyone else can line up at their nearest embassy or consulate. Visas start at US$160 and can take quite some time to sort out.
