Waterfall on the Colo River, Australia

On the driest inhabited continent in the world, a waterfall on the Colo River is a much appreciated sight. Most Australians live on the coast and work in the city, escaping the dry conditions of the interior.

The pristine Colo River and its surrounding forests, creeks and parks is the place to come. Situated 1-?? hours north west of Sydney the pleasant drive through the Hills district then north of country town Windsor brings you to the Colo river. Up or down stream it does not matter, it is beautiful either way.

There is so much to do, canyoning, canoeing, abseiling, bushwalking fishing or just relax by the river and enjoy a simple family picnic. The river itself is crystal clear fresh water ideal for a refreshing swim on a hot summers day.
