Trafalgar Falls

The third and last stop on our tour with Nature Isle was a visit to Trafalgar Falls located in the Morne Trois Pitons National Park. Our drive was about a 1/2 hour from the second stop, the Ti Tou Gorge. As we were driving along the winding road we got our first glimpse of the falls with sweeping views of the mountains and Roseau Valley. It was quite breathtaking and we even stopped at a rest stop with a lookout to take a peek of the mountains that surround the area.

Upon our arrival we went through a visitor center along a path. Our guide stopped along the path to point out some flora and advise use to be extra careful as the walkway could be quite slippery. We continued to walk a short distance where we arrived at a viewing platform.

The Trafalga Falls, is a set of twin falls with an upper higher fall called the “Father” falls and the lower “Mother” falls. At the platform you can take an assortment of pictures of the falls in all their splendor. After you’ve taken all the pictures you want, continue through a rocky path to the hot springs at the bottom of the falls.

The falls were quite spectacular and I thoroughly enjoyed our visit.
