Tahoe – Two Million Years Old Clear Alpine Lake in USA
Lake Tahoe, Sierra Nevada, USA. The largest alpine lake and at 501 m (1645 ft) deep one of the deepest lakes in North America, Tahoe is approximately 2 million years old. The water in the lake is very clear and with numerous sandy beaches makes a great bathing experience. It is also famous for the amazing panoramic views, that feature mountains, surrounding the lake from all sides.
Today the area is a popular recreational site, that provides a variety of water sports that attract many tourists. In summer many events take place here, that include sport matches and even the Shakespeare Festival. In winter tourists are offered to try out the exciting skiing tracks on the hills and mountains around the lake. Visitors can also hike, bicycle and gamble at the casinos.

Anytime – there are all year round activities.
How to get there?
By plane get to Reno/Tahoe International Airport. Get there by train from California or bus from various cities.
