Queenstown, Otago, New Zealand. A resort town in the south-west of South Island attracts tourists all year round. Built around Lake Wakatipu, Queenstown is surrounded with the Southern Alps. Next to the townMilford Sound is found, which is famous for the scenic fjords. However, Queenstown is famous not only for the versatile nature, but for a very intense nightlife as well.
Tours in the lake by a historic “Lady of the Lake” boat are very popular. Plenty of other attractions, like cycling, fishing, bungee jumping, horseback riding, skiing, paragliding, wine tasting and many more, entertain the tourists. A wonderful panoramic views open from the mountains: a scenic Bob’s Peak can even be reached by a cable car.
