Casares, Málaga province, Andalucia, Spain. It is said that Julius Caesar was treated here, when he had a frail liver function. The healing sulfuric springs still stream in Casares. The Moors built their castle in 12th century, which marks the establishment of Casares.
The terraces of white houses define the village. It can be approached from the south side where a walkaway is built. The Arabian and Christian influences are apparent in the architecture. Casares has definitely preserved the southern Spain’s authenticity.
