Bohinj, Slovenia. Situated in the heart of the Julian Alps, Bohinj valley is the most beautiful natural gem around. Surrounded with mountains, found in the vicinity of the highest peak in Slovenia – Mount Triglav (2864 m; 9396 ft) – the valley is a popular all year round attraction. It also features waterfalls, gorges and unspoiled forests.
A true jewel of the valley is Lake Bohinj – the largest one in the country. In summer it attracts numerous visitors, who love to bathe, boat and do other water sports here.
