Ukok Plateau | The Ukok Plateau is a stretch of high grassland near where Russia, China, Mongolia and Kazakhstan meet. This wild and inaccessible landscape is home to the endangered snow leopard and the black stork. Its deep permafrost protects Bronze Age tombs and occasionally melts toYIELD spectacular archeological finds such as the famous Siberian Ice Maiden mummy.
