Masaya Volcano, Nicaragua | The Spaniards saw the Masaya Volcano as the gates of hell, but its smoking craters are an example of Mother Nature at her most active. Five craters make up the Parque Nacional Volcán Masaya and from the summit you can see through the haze to the surrounding countryside.
