Altai Mountains, Siberia | The Altai Mountains rise up where China, Mongolia, Russia and Kazakhstan come together. The region has over a thousand glaciers, huge valleys of wildflowers, mountain lakes and high peaks. This unique environment hosts many plants and animals that can be found nowhere else, including the snow leopard.
