10. Lion’s Head, Cape Town, South Africa
The city is endowed with wonderful nature – the Table Mountain alone provides great hiking trails, a lift with a cable car and a number of viewpoints. Lion’s Head is one of the most exciting spots here – from 669 m (2195 ft) height hikers can admire the cityscape and a view to the ocean.
Why to go there?

9. The Glacier Skywalk, Alberta, Canada
This exciting viewpoint is made of glass and one can literally see the abyss unfolding under the feet. At an elevation of 280 m (918 ft) visitors can admire Canadian wildlife, mountains and glaciers. The site itself is found in the Canadian Rockies, where even more natural wonders can be expected.
When to go there?
The park provides all year round activities that include animal and bird watching, skiing, hiking, climbing and more.

8. Saxon Switzerland, Dresden, Saxony, Germany
The valley features these incredible picturesque rock pillars and peaks, that attract hikers and climbers to the site. There are various viewpoints on these summits, from where one can admire the panoramic views to the never ending forests and mountains.
How to get there?
Get there by train from Dresden. Then use various hiking trails once in the park.

7. Geirangerfjorden, Norway
A 15 km (9.3 mi) long fjord provides some breathtaking views. A small village of Geiranger is found below and welcomes tourists as well as provides them with all the useful facilities. Lush vegetation covers the slopes of the fjord and offers several viewpoints for the hikers.
Why to go there?
The site is protected by UNESCO and declared the World Heritage Site. The destination also provides all year round outdoor activities.

6. The Blyde River Canyon, Mpumalanga, South Africa
The canyon is definitely one of the most beautiful and distinguishable in the world: lush foliage is a signature feature of this natural wonder. Hikers climbing the cliffs can approach the panoramic views from various different sites and angles.
Why to go there?
It is one of the most famous natural sites in South Africa. Being 25 km (16 mi) long it is also the third largest canyon on Earth.

5. Trolltunga, Norway
A significant rock that looks like a tongue of a troll, juts out 700 m (2,300 ft) above the Ringedalsvatnet lake. Obviously the gorgeous landscape opens up. Moreover tourists love to take crazy pictures here, balancing dangerously on a cliff.
When to go there?
The viewpoint is open to visit from around mid-June to mid-September.

4. The Janiculum, Rome, Italy
The hill is also known as Gianicolo. Although it isn’t the highest hill in Rome, this is the best place to view the city. The abundance of historic architecture, domes, towers and temples sprawls in front of one’s eyes.
How to get there?
Get there on foot – situated in the western part of the Eternal City the hill is found in the Trastevere and Vatican neighborhood.

3. Hum Hod Cliff, Sai-Thong National Park, Thailand
The park features great hiking trails, lush nature and rare flowers. Meanwhile this viewpoint might be one of the most exciting in the world – a flat rock protruding above the abyss is not for the fainthearted. However the views from the precipitous cliffs are striking.
When to go there?
All year round, although it can get quite rainy from June to August.

2. Glacier Point, Yosemite National Park, USA
At an elevation of 2199 m (7214 ft) striking views to Yosemite Valley open. One can admire the famous features like Half Dome, Yosemite Falls, Vernal Fall, Nevada Fall and Clouds Rest. During summer it is one of the most popular tourist attractions. In winter although the main road is closed, the viewpoint can be reached on skis from the Badger Pass Ski Area.
How to get there?
There are various trails that lead to Glacier Point – some are easier, some more challenging. Even tours by bus are available.

1. Step Into the Void, the Mont Blanc Range, France
This is truly a one crazy structure – at an elevation of 3842 m (12604 ft), next to Mont Blanc – the tallest summit in Europe, this glass box is built for the tourists to admire the views. A 1035 m (3395 ft) drop uncovers under the feet – something you definitely want to see at least once in your lifetime.
