Transfers in Muscat International Airport - Muscat Airport





As a convenient gateway between east and west, Muscat is an ideal place to transfer to continue your journey. Use the information here to help make the break in your journey as smooth and as comfortable as possible.

International transfers

The Transfer Area is to the left of the immigration hall and is well sign posted. All transferring passengers should proceed to the First Floor and should collect boarding cards if these were not issued at the point of origin. Lifts are available to the first floor Transfer Area.

All transferring passengers will be security screened, including x-rays of hand baggage.
After clearing security, transferring passengers are able to visit the duty free shopping area or proceed directly to the onward departure gate.


Travellers from Salalah who have an onward international flight with Oman Air,and who received an onward boarding card in Salalah, should follow the Transit signs to the departure gates. Baggage will be checked through to the final destination.
Travellers from other domestic airports, or travellers continuing an international journey on an airline other than Oman Air, should collect baggage and proceed to the departures lounge to check in for the onward journey.
Baggage will need to be declared through security on entrance to the check-in area.


Domestic Transfers

Travellers from Salalah who have an onward international flight with Oman Air,and who received an onward boarding card in Salalah, should follow the Transit signs to the departure gates. Baggage will be checked through to the final destination.
Travellers from other domestic airports, or travellers continuing an international journey on an airline other than Oman Air, should collect baggage and proceed to the departures lounge to check in for the onward journey.
