After three and half year globetrotting, it’s a huge honor to sit back, sigh, and reflect. There were moments that sucked beyond comprehension, moments where I wanted to crawl into fetal position and be ‘home’ (whatever that really means); and there were moments when I raised my hands to the heavens or hugged my kids and Kobi even closer still, and thanked God/the fairies/the stars for our unreal fortune and luck to have been able to have had just that moment. We grew so close, fell apart, witnessed, cried, laughed, got lost and found in seventeen lands and always still in the chamber of our own souls.
And sometimes, we’re asked THE question, the one that take my breath away- where was your favorite place in the world, which is evergreen bittersweet for there is something unquenchably romantic about the longing of the human heart, and how, no matter how wonderful it was, or how it could never be that again, or even no matter how remarkable the Now is, still, there is something that sighs in your soul and, and, remembers.Returning to that river side fantasy in Ecuador; returning to that Vippassana in Battambang, Cambodia; returning to diving with Savedra Dive Center and sea turtles in the Philippines takes back all the senses and all that was andtesseracts your entirety to another slice of Being that is now an intimate fold in the history of That Which You Are.
The most magical place on the planet, though, has no competition. It’s a no-brainer, an instant response, a knowing as clear as that traveling the globe with our three young children was an irreplaceable gift for the rest of our lives.
Ever walked into a fairy tale? Welcome to Cappadocia, Turkey; our beloved Taskonaklar in Cappadocia, Turkiye!
Taskonaklar Rocky Cave Hotel
We arrived at night to Taskonaklar Rocky Cave Hotel in Cappadocia, Turkiye to those fairy chimneys lit up like a theater under the amphitheatered stars, to those caves and all the mystery, magic and curiosity that they elicit, and we knew, we knew, we knew that we were in for one unparalleled week of pampering, magic, romance, and thrills. And so it was!

Exploring Around the Hotel was as Unreal as the Cave Hotel Itself

And Every Night Coming Home to Taskonaklar Was A Deep Sigh
….and as Romantic as it can Be with Your Three Kids in Tow

And with a skyline that played with light and darkness like we’d never seen before
(And the camera could not even fully capture the magic that our eyes took in. Note every family member’s reaction when they look at that Unreal Sunset Moon!)

Turkish Night- A Pure Indulgence in Magic, Music, Dance, and Culture
